Michal McKay’s career has spanned the globe, gaining broad experience in communications, fashion design, editing, brand marketing, advertising and image making. The companies she has worked with have been of international repute and of the highest calibre. From time spent as Vice President/Creative Director for Aramis Global in New York and London, to Marketing Director for Beymen in Turkey, Michal has stamped her mark around the world.
She has also held various editorial roles, including Associate Editor of Vogue Australia and Editor of Vogue Singapore, Associate Editor and Deputy Editor of Good Housekeeping in London, Editor of NZ Woman’s Weekly, Editorial Director of Courier Newspapers in Sydney and Editorial Director for Fairfax Magazines in New Zealand.
It was during her time at Fairfax that Michal became involved with Look Good Feel Better, and initiated the NZ House and Garden Tours as an annual fundraising activity.
In 2009, Michal McKay started her company Maiki Ltd. Having gained the relative freedom of working for herself, Michal has been able to devote more time to working with those organisations that are in need of pro bono support such as Look Good Feel Better.
As well as being on the Board of Look Good Feel Better, Michal currently has association with the Royal NZ Ballet, the Edge, the APO, WORLD magazine and Cook Islands Tourism.
