Our Workshops

During a two and a half hour workshop, attendees are guided by trained cosmetic volunteers on how to cope with the physical side effects of their treatment, such as dry flaking skin, hair loss and pigmentation changes.

In a safe and friendly environment, they are taken through a step by step skincare and make-up regime, and given guidance on how to apply cosmetics to help camouflage loss of eyebrows, eyelashes and skin colour fluctuations.

Over 460 volunteers, some from the cosmetic industry, assist at these LGFB workshops throughout New Zealand because the work is so rewarding and results are so evident.

A professional demonstration of wigs and turbans from Hair Creations is included at the end of every workshop. All workshop attendees take home a gift bag of skincare and cosmetic products, donated by the member companies of Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association of New Zealand (CTFA).

A light lunch is provided at the end of the workshop, and workshop attendees have the opportunity to share stories and experiences with one another.
