20 years of Look Good Feel Better

20 years of Look Good Feel Better was celebrated in style at a cocktail party at The Auckland War Memorial Museum.
More than 200 people gathered to celebrate the important milestone in the charity’s history. Guests were greeted by the sweet sounds of a harp and got to enjoy 360 degree views of Auckland City at sunset while MC John Hawkesby kept the crowd on their toes during the evening. Chairperson Penny Thompson talked about some of the highlights over the past 20 years and Yvonne Brownlie looked ahead to the future, including launching a new initiative NZ Dream Week, to the crowd of supporters who were eager to hear more.
There were 13 Lipstick Legends honoured for their incredible commitment over the years and the Wall of Fame highlighted everyone who has given so much to Look Good Feel Better over the years.
The Candy Bar caused much excitement and everyone left very happy with their bag of goodies.

20 years have just flown by. It was such an honour to be standing with my colleagues who I have had the privilege of volunteering with these past incredible 20 years, knowing the others whose commitment isn’t far behind.
This programme, truly without fuss gets on with helping women of all ages deal with their appearance and face the future with certainty. Although on the surface it may be for appearance only…this couldn’t be further from the reality. Self esteem is everything and Look Good Feel Better and the dedicated team of volunteers nationwide never let the patients down.
Thank you to you all, a wonderful team and true friends, let us meet again in another 20 years to celebrate this wonderful gifted group called Look Good Feel Better NZ.
