Chairman & General Manager Estee Lauder Companies
Marie-Ann Billens is the General Manager of Estee Lauder Companies, a role she has held for the past 12 years. Her tenure with Estee Lauder Companies spans 25 years having worked in Australia and Asia in a variety of roles encompassing training and brand management.
Marie-Ann is the chair of Look Good Feel Better, the cosmetic industry charity, a long standing trustee and previous chair of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and an active member of the Zonta Club of Auckland.
Marie-Ann is an avid reader and keen theatre goer who enjoys spending the weekend boating on the Hauraki Golf.

Vikki Lee Goode is an ardent supporter of LGFB. She was first introduced to the charity by one of her PR clients and later co-opted on the board of trustees for her promotional skills and fundraising abilities. After almost twenty years continuous service on the LGFB board she is now our longest serving trustee and a former board chair.
Vikki Lee is a successful PR professional with more than 30 years’ experience. As director of Goode PR and Goode Events she has provided expert counsel to some of the world’s most respected brands and staged some of New Zealand’s most innovative events. She is a firm believer that successful people are those that go out and give back to those less fortunate. Her company motto is “Goode people doing great things” and that is also a philosophy she lives by when it comes to supporting good causes like Look Good Feel Better.
“It’s not hard to be enthusiastic about Look Good Feel Better when you see how effective it is in changing the lives of Kiwis with cancer,” she says. “I find it rewarding to work with and for, an organisation that is so practical and ‘hands on’ in its approach. This is a charity that is all about positivity, empowerment and facing challenges with confidence and that’s an easy thing to champion.” As communications professional, Vikki Lee has a special interest in the ‘not for profit’ sector and cause-related marketing. Her company provides pro bono PR services to things she champions – healthy eating for the NZ Nutrition Foundation, positive youth engagement at the Foundation for Youth Development and assistance for those in need at Surf Lifesaving and Look Good Feel Better amongst others. Vikki Lee is married to Tony and the couple has an adult son. Outside of work, she is a keen traveller with many passions and pursuits.

Specialist Breast Physician
Caroline has been practicing as a specialist Breast Physician since 2001. She has completed her Fellowship examinations of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians and is a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians. She looks after all aspects of breast health and breast disease, including family history surveillance (for women with a strong family history of breast cancer). Caroline graduated from University of Cape Town in 1985 and moved to New Zealand in 1987. After working in General Practice and Appearance Medicine, an interest in women’s health led to a career in Breast Medicine. A mother of two and married to Trevor. She keeps fit with walking the dog, Pilates and yoga, and loves skiing, tramping, and paddle-boarding.
Sales Strategy & Networks Manager Enterprise Group HP NZ
Raewyn has been the Sales Strategy, Operations and Total Customer Experience Manager for Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Group for over 7 years and has been working in the IT industry for a total of 16 years. While the IT industry is quite far removed from the beauty industry, Raewyn was previously involved in senior sales and marketing roles in the medical diagnostics industry and is passionate about scientific, medical and social advances that can improve health and wellbeing in the community.
Raewyn brings a wealth of senior business experience to the Look Good Feel Better Board and having never been involved in the beauty industry is able to bring a totally different perspective to the team. With a strong desire to “give back” to the community, Raewyn is very excited to be a part of the Look Good Feel Better team and the opportunity the classes provide to help cancer patients when they need it most. “As a glass half full person I know how important it is to keep a positive outlook in times of adversity and I am proud and privileged to be part of an organisation whose core objective is to do just that.”
Dianne has over 20 years experience working with small business owners to help them build profitable high growth businesses. She was founding Principal of the WHK Business Growth Team who offered business and export advisory programmes throughout New Zealand. Since retiring from that role at the end of 2007, Dianne has continued to work with a small number of clients who are predominantly in the fashion and creative sectors, as well as mentoring young fashion designers.
‘Retirement’ has also enabled Dianne to get involved in a number of charities. She was a founding Trustee of the New Zealand Fashion Museum, a board member of Fashion Industry New Zealand and has been on the Look Good Feel Better Board since December 2013. Dianne is passionate about the work that Look Good Feel Better does and excited to be part of an organisation which has such positive impacts on people experiencing cancer. “We lost my Dad to cancer several years ago now, and I know how much his positive attitude helped him and our family, and brought a smile to almost everyone who came into contact with him. The practical classes that Look Good Feel Better delivers are a powerful and positive boost to people when they need it most.”
General Manager at Elizabeth Arden (NZ)
Valérie has been General Manager at Elizabeth Arden (NZ) Limited for the past 17 years and has worked in the cosmetic industry for over 20 years. Elizabeth Arden is a founding sponsor of the Look Good Feel Better charity and, in her role as General Manager, Valerie has proudly and actively been involved in all aspects of supporting this worthwhile cause in New Zealand. She was the CTFA president from 2008 to 2010. Valerie emigrated from her native France with a French law degree to New Zealand with her Kiwi husband in 1987. They have one teenage daughter. She remains a keen tennis player and enjoys many active pursuits.
Executive General Manager of L’Oréal New Zealand and the General Manager of the Consumer Products Division
Born in New Zealand, Martin Smith is a Commerce and Business Management Graduate of University of Auckland, NZ, and the University of Michigan Advanced School of Management, USA. His early career began in senior marketing and sales management roles in the New Zealand FMCG industry, managing a portfolio of well-known consumer, household cleaning and food service brands. From 1999, after joining L'Oréal New Zealand as a Brand General Manager, he has spent 14 years in various senior international management roles for L'Oréal, based in London, Paris and Shanghai. These include his appointment as Managing Director of L'Oréal's Professional Division, United Kingdom and Ireland, and successive Zone Director appointments managing L'Oréal's professional markets in Africa, Middle East, India, Western Europe and recently the 14 countries of Asia Pacific. In 2014, Martin was appointed Executive General Manager of L'Oréal New Zealand and the General Manager of the Consumer Products Division. He serves on the Management Committee for L’Oréal Australia and New Zealand. Martin is a Board Member of the NZ Cosmetic Toiletry & Fragrance Association and is also on the Board of Trustees for Look Good Feel Better. A keen 'global explorer' and rugby and water sports fanatic, Martin and his wife are now based in Auckland, New Zealand.
CEO of Bauer Media NZ
Paul Dykzeul is the CEO of Bauer Media NZ, previously known as ACP Magazines, the Chairman of Magazine Publishers Association and a board member of Look Good Feel Better.
Bauer Media is New Zealand’s largest magazine publisher and publishes many of the country’s most iconic magazines from popular culture through to special interest and premium current affairs. Paul leads a dedicated team of 350 people. In addition to its magazine business, it has a number of related media assets that are all very successful growing companies.
Paul has an extensive media background spanning multiple decades and continents. He returned home seven years ago to lead the New Zealand company, following 11 years in Sydney where he worked running the International Division of ACP Media. He has worked extensively in publishing in many countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, Vietnam, Taiwan, the UK and South Africa. Paul also ran Murdoch Magazines in Australia for seven years, growing the magazine and book business to a very sizable company.
Paul is very passionate about the craft of publishing and the role that literacy plays for New Zealanders and society as a whole. Promoting investigative journalism and high quality local content are high priorities. Paul is a prolific reader, often described as ‘life curious’, an avid All Blacks fan and noted expert on Antarctica. He lives on Waiheke Island with his wife Deborah.
Before her retirement from corporate life in 2008 Penny Thompson was the Managing Director of the Estee Lauder Group in New Zealand and then Australia. Today she works with small businesses as well as her favourite charities.
Penny set up Look Good Feel Better on behalf of the CTFA, when she was Managing Director of Estee Lauder New Zealand. Involved with all the initial presentations to the hospitals and cancer societies around the country, Penny helped to secure their ongoing support. She also employed the initial charity staff, and worked with the cosmetics industry to secure product requirements.
She remained a significant figure in the Look Good Feel Better charity until 2001, when she was transferred back to Estee Lauder Australia. She sat on the board of the CTFA and LGFB in Australia from 2001 until 2008.
Penny rejoined the LGFB board in New Zealand in 2005, and was Chairperson from 2008 until 2013.
Aside from her involvement with LGFB, Penny also co-founded the National Breast Cancer Foundation in NZ, and served on their board for many years.
She is also a founding trustee of World Child Cancer New Zealand and has responsibility for their fundraising which supports Pacific Island children with cancer..

Len Elikhis is the Chief Officer Product at Sovereign.
As a member of Sovereign’s Executive Leadership Team, Len is responsible for the design and pricing of Sovereign’s life and health insurance products. Len is passionate about the role that insurance plays in securing people’s futures and helping to restore people’s health. Prior to joining Sovereign, Len worked as a consulting actuary in Australia.
Like many New Zealanders, Len has been touched by cancer and understands the benefits that come from social and community support. And Len is honoured to be part of an organisation that provides practical support to help people regain a sense of control and dignity during a particularly challenging period in their lives.
In his spare time, Len enjoys reading, skiing and hiking.
